Žižkov tower
Žižkov television transmitter is one of Prague‘s dominant features and also the highest building in the city. The tower with its 216 metres was built between 1985 and 1992. The tubes support three cabins, the first of which is a restaurant (currently closed due to works) situated at a height of 66 meters. The observatory cabin is 93 meters above the ground. Art work by (a famous Czech artist) David Cerny called “Babies”, was placed on the tubes in 2000. Open daily 8 – 24.00
